Welcome to FGHA!

It is the Forest Glen Board's hope and expectation that your will visit this website often and use it as your portal to local government and businesses. It is a work in progress by volunteers so be patient and by all means submit suggestions!

The Forest Glen Homeowners Association exists to serve the needs of its members, and assure where possible that the community retains the standards envisioned when the covenants were drawn up. All officers are elected by the membership and serve without pay. As with any association, the strength lies with active participation by all members. Our social events are a great way to get to know neighbors.

Since all residents must abide by the covenants (rules), your understanding and compliance with these covenants will do much to prevent any misunderstanding and ill will.

It is the mission of the Forest Glen Board to improve the property values in Forest Glen -through careful maintenance of our common areas, capital projects in landscape design, replacement of trees and the enforcement of our covenants.

Snow season is upon us!

With the coming of winter it is important to remind everyone that theVillage Public Works Department keeps our streets plowed and tht cars parked on the street hinder the clearing of the streets of snow.

The village is not responsible for the damage caused to mailboxes by the snow plows as the first 15 feet back from the curb has a village easement.  They will replace a basic mailbox so your mail delivery is not interupted, but for those of us who have "higher end" and brink monument mailboxes, we replace those at our expense.

Lastly, plese ask your snow plow service to respect your neighbors landscaping and property by not lpowing snow from your driveway onto their property.

Forest Glen's landscape mainenance service does do snow plowing and a board member will eb happy to provide their contact information if you decide you would like to have this done for you.

Stay off the ice on the park ponds, they are not monitored for safety by the Park District or FGHA.

Projects require Board Approval

IMPORTANT The covenants REQUIRE that YOU seek prior board approval when you are contemplating a project outdoors.  The board has had to go into court to get TRO and sue residents who have ignored this...

Did you know???

Did you know...  You cannot park a Commercial vehicle or Boat overnight on your driveway or grass! They must be in your garage and not visible to neighbors. Dumpsters or temporary storage units...
